The High Speed Machining Center is a high-precision and high-efficiency machining equipment, and the following aspects should be noted when using it:

1、 Preparation before operation

Personnel training and qualifications

Operators must undergo professional training and be familiar with the basic principles of high-speed machining centers, the functions of operation panels, and various instruction codes. Only with the corresponding operational qualifications can the safe and correct use of equipment be ensured.

Operators should also have knowledge of machining processes, including tool selection, cutting parameter settings, etc., which is crucial for ensuring machining quality and efficiency.

Equipment inspection

Before starting the equipment, a comprehensive inspection of the machining center should be conducted. Check if the coolant level is sufficient, as the tool and workpiece generate a large amount of heat during high-speed machining, and the coolant can effectively dissipate heat. At the same time, check the lubrication system to ensure that all moving parts are well lubricated, avoiding component wear or failure caused by poor lubrication.

It is also necessary to check the installation of the cutting tools, which should be firmly installed and the specifications and models of the tools should meet the processing requirements. In addition, check whether the clamping of the workpiece is correct. The clamping must be firm to prevent workpiece displacement during high-speed machining, which may cause machining errors or even safety accidents.

2、 Precautions during processing

Reasonable setting of cutting parameters

The cutting speed, feed rate, and cutting depth parameters of high-speed machining centers should be reasonably set according to factors such as workpiece material, tool material, and machining requirements. If the cutting speed is too high, it may cause the tool to wear out too quickly and even damage the tool; Excessive feed rate may affect the quality of the machined surface.

For example, when processing aluminum alloy materials, due to their relatively low hardness, the cutting speed can be appropriately increased. However, when processing high hardness alloy steel, the cutting speed needs to be reduced while adjusting the feed rate and cutting depth reasonably.

Safety protection measures

During the processing, the protective door must be opened. During the operation of high-speed machining centers, the high-speed rotation of cutting tools and workpieces generates a large amount of chips, and protective doors can prevent chips from splashing and injuring people. At the same time, operators should wear protective goggles and earplugs, as chips may splash into the eyes and the equipment may produce loud noise during operation.

Pay attention to the operating status of the equipment, such as the temperature of the motor and the wear of the cutting tools. If any abnormalities are found, such as motor overheating, tool breakage, etc., the processing should be stopped immediately to avoid further damage to the equipment.

3、 Maintenance and upkeep after processing

Cleaning work

After processing, the machining center should be cleaned in a timely manner. Remove chips from the workbench, tool magazine, and protective devices to maintain the cleanliness of the equipment. At the same time, clean the coolant tank to prevent impurities from accumulating in the coolant and affecting the cooling effect.

Equipment inspection and maintenance

Conduct a comprehensive inspection of the equipment, check the degree of tool wear, and replace tools with severe wear in a timely manner. Check the wear of various moving parts, such as guide rails, screws, etc., and lubricate or adjust them if necessary. Regularly conduct precision checks on equipment to ensure that its machining accuracy meets the requirements for subsequent processing.
